Saphir Medaille d'Or Pate de Luxe Wax Polish is an all-natural wax polish based on beeswax, turpentine, and carnauba wax with six other nutrient waxes for nourishing, protecting, softening, and shining qualities. The pigments have been selected for their brilliance, transparency, and clarity and help rebuild the finish on fine shoes, while the high concentration of hard waxes create an unparalleled brilliant, high-gloss shine.
The high concentration of hard waxes yield a higher-gloss finish and more protection than cream polishes. We recommend the use of Saphir's Wax Polish after the use of the Saphir Renovateur, and Pommadier Cream Polish to produce a high-gloss patina.
The quality and concentration of hard waxes used in the polish persist much longer than ordinary polishes, allowing the shine of one's shoes to be easily renewed long after application by simply rebuffing.
Available in several colours, please note that rarely is there a 'perfect match.' Choose the closest color to the finish of your shoes.
You can literally smell the difference with Saphir's Medaille d'Or Wax Polish.
The all-natural, pine-based turpentine solvent, which is a natural by-product of pine trees, is immediately recognizable.
Whereas ordinary waxes use a petroleum base solvent, Saphir MDO is completely natural and without any harmful alcohols, resins, or silicone.
Saphir's Pate de Luxe Wax is composed primarily of three types of high-quality waxes: animal waxes such as beeswax, vegetable waxes such as carnauba, and mineral waxes.
Specially formulated for 'glacage,' or 'icing,' Saphir Wax Polish contains a high proportion of hard waxes.
Combined with both a higher concentration and higher quality pigments, you will obtain an incomparable shine with Saphir's Medialle d'Or wax polish.
About Saphir Medaille d'Or
The formulation of Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier Cream Polish traces its origins back to the 1925 Paris International Fair, where Saphir won the 'gold metal,' or Medaille d'Or, for the quality of its leather care products.
The hallmark of Saphir's Medaille d'Or collection is an absolute commitment to using only the highest-quality ingredients available in concentrated, time-honored formulations. Most importantly, all of Saphir's leather care products contain neither resins nor silicones, which are commonly found in other polishes but are harmful to leathers. The quality of Saphir's MDO collection is immediately evident when opened as one enjoys the aroma of the pine trees used in its turpentine.
This is why the most famous shoemakers use Saphir Medaille d'Or for the finishing and shining of their shoes. Saphir's products will enable you to preserve the original patina of your fine shoes, protect them against wear, and help you enjoy the special craftsmanship they were made with for many, many years to come.
We recommend applying Saphir Pate de Luxe wax polish after the application of Saphir Cream polish. Apply a small amount of polish using a cotton chamois. Allow to dry and then buff off using a horsehair brush.
If you desire a higher-gloss shine, continue to apply tiny amounts of polish using a cotton chamois. Allow to dry. Then with a tiny drop of water, continue to buff the dried wax polish until the clouding disappears and a high-gloss shine emerges. Several applications will be required. You may also like to try using in a final application Saphir Mirror Gloss for the ultimate shine.
The Saphir Medaille d'Or Wax Shoe Polish immediately stands out from ordinary polishes as lighter and more oily. The wax spreads very easily and achieves a high-gloss polish when buffed.
By using a coat of the Saphir Pommadier Cream to restore the color saturation followed with the wax (Pate De Lux) polish to provide the high-gloss shine your shoes will be in good hands.
